What it is
An extraction is the removal of a tooth. It's sometimes needed because of severe decay, damage, infection or crowding — and it's carried out to protect your wider oral health.
What to expect
- The area is numbed so you stay comfortable
- The tooth is carefully removed
- You're given clear aftercare advice to support healing
Good to know
Where possible, we'll always discuss whether a tooth can be saved before recommending removal — and talk through options to replace it afterwards, such as a bridge or implant.
